Franklin, VA – Evelyn Marie Johnson Drewery, 94, departed this life on Friday September 30 ^th .

She attended Capron Elementary and graduated from Courtland High School.  She was a member of Vincent Grove Methodist Church and Hunterdale Christian Church, where she served as organist, Sunday School teacher and secretary for her circle for many years.  She worked for St. Regis Paper Company and attended the Webb School of Business in Franklin.  She is pre-deceased by her husband of 59 years Jesse E. Drewery, parents Dallas and Virginia Johnson, and her sister Ida Kathlyn Johnson.

She was the mother of Beth Drewery Vincent (Fred) and Gene Drewery (Paige); Grannie to Bryant Vincent and William Drewery and Courtney Wright (Alan); and great-grandmother to Waylan Edward Wright.

A service will be held at Wright Funeral Home in Franklin at 1 pm on Wednesday October 5, followed by interment at Capron cemetery. Visitation one hour preceding the service and the family will receive friends afterwards at the home of Gene and Paige Drewery.  Donations may be made to the Ruth Camp Campbell Library in Franklin.
