Obituary

Franklin – Evan Sanyi Vargo, 38, Sanyi being Hungarian for "Little Alex", unexpectedly passed away in his home on July 22, 2022.  He was born in the Baptist Hospital in Jacksonville, FL on January 25, 1984.

From a very young age Evan loved sports - soccer, baseball, fishing, boating, golf, and anything to do with water.  He loved his trucks, Nascar, and raced dirt bikes.  He played soccer for Carrsville, the YMCA, Franklin High School, and Select for Elizabeth River Select League.  Being a left footer, he was a real tease to be able to set up many goals.  Evan's real love was shooting.  At age 11, he started shooting sporting clays with his father, Ax.  By age 18, he had been sub junior champion of Virginia for 4 years and held Junior Champion for 4 years.  Evan was on ESPN's "Cabela's Under Wild Skies".

Evan graduated from Franklin High School and earned his welding certificates.  As a senior project under Mrs. Soucek he picked window tinting which for 21 years he made it his career - tinting cars, trucks, houses, businesses, and anything to do with windows.

Left to cherish his memory is his mother, Jill Vargo, sister, Allie Vargo, and beloved dog, Caly.  He was the son of the late Alex W. "Ax" Vargo, Jr.  He will surely be missed by his friends and customers.

A celebration will be held at 6PM Friday, August 5, 2022 in Wright Funeral Home with Rev. Randy Wright officiating, a gathering at Don Ponchos following.
