Franklin- Eva May Duport, 88, a native and former resident of Huntington, Long Island, NY, passed away November 30, 2014 at the East Pavilion. She was one of 12 children born to the late John H. and Gussie Rhodes. She was predeceased by her husband, George Parks Duport, Sr., and by 10 siblings. She was a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister and aunt.
Left to cherish her memory are her two daughters, Anita Ann Nicotra (Lenny) of Yorktown and Kathleen Mae Drewry of Franklin; a son, George Parks Duport, of Chesapeake; sister, Edna Miller of Huntington, NY; seven grandchildren, Pete Ryan, Cliff R. Ryan, Douglas S. Duport (Harmony), Laurie D. Savoie, Patricia Duport, Paul G. Donadio, II, and Sheree N. Black (Timothy); 12 great-grandchildren,Krystal Ryan, Aiden Ryan, Alina Ryan, Makenna Savoie, Connor Goldbach, Madison Taylor, Kennedy Taylor, Maxx Gift, Taylor Black, Tyler Black, Carolina Duport and Sierra Duport.
A funeral service will be held at 3 PM Tuesday, December 2, 2014 at Wright Funeral Home with the Rev. James W. Browder, III officiating. Burial will follow at a later date in Peninsula Memorial Park, Newport News, VA. The family requests, in lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society or a charity of your choice. The family would like to extend their deepest gratitude to the East Pavilion for the excellent care they provided during her two year stay.
