Franklin- Eunice Irene Munford Whitley "Nannie", 80, passed away surrounded by her loving family on June 25, 2016. A native of Franklin, VA, she was a daughter of the late Jasper J. Munford, Sr. and Ella Cobb Munford and was also predeceased by her husband, Frank H. Whitley, Sr. and a sister, Brenda Bandy. She retired from Obici Hospital as an ER Clerk and then retired from Southampton Memorial Hospital.

Survivors include two daughters, Janet Floyd (Jeff) of Courtland and Beth W. Turner (KT) of Franklin, a son, Frank H. Whitley, Jr. (Patty) of Suffolk, seven wonderful grandchildren, Candace (Candy) Saunders (Woody), Jonathan Whitley, Christopher (Chris) Whitley (Jules), Kevin Whitley, Katelyn Duck ,Jeffrey Floyd, Jr. and Ciara Ford (Danny), ten great grandchildren, Summer Saunders, Brandon Saunders, Emerson Whitley, Alexis Parker, Zavion Parker, Raleigh Floyd, Kearah Ward, Kylie Ford, Alex and Lily Ford, a wonderful sister-in-law, Mildred Gwaltney King that has treated her like a sister, brothers, Randy Munford, Jasper J. Munford, Jr., sisters, Mary Darden, Shirley Vasser and Sally Moore and many nieces and nephews.

A graveside funeral will be held 11AM Wednesday, June 29, 2016 at Nansemond- Suffolk Cemetery with the Rev. Roy Porter officiating. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8PM Tuesday at Wright Funeral Home, Franklin and suggests that memorial donations be made to the Alzheimer's Association in memory of Eunice Whitley at www.alz.org.
