Capron – Ethel Grizzard Vick, 84, passed away on January 31, 2019 in The Village at Woods Edge.  Born September 8, 1934, Ethel was a daughter of the late Edgar Mason Grizzard and Kate May Harris Grizzard.  She was predeceased by her husband of almost 60 years, James Thomas "Nanny" Vick; a son Eddie T. Vick; and five brothers Benjamin T. "Bubba" Grizzard, Earl Grizzard, Elmer Grizzard, Pete Grizzard, and Frank Grizzard.   Ethel was a member of Capron Baptist Church.

Left to cherish her memory are two daughters Elizabeth V. Powell of Carson and Wanda V. "Cookie" Covington (Jimmy) of Newsoms; three sons David L. Vick (Ebbie) of Doodlum, Jerry W. Vick (Laura) of Capron, and Joseph R. Vick (Beverly) of Capron; a daughter-in-law Shelia Vick; five sisters Alease Braswell, Polly Proctor, Barbara "Bobbie" Grizzard, Willie Mae Harris, and Diane Smith; seven grandchildren Kristopher B. Twisdale, James M. Vick, Joshua W. Vick, Wesley T. Vick (Kim), Jacob O. Vick, Samuel T. Vick, and Tristan T. Vick; three great-grandchildren Lathan P. Vick, Trent T. Vick, and Zachary J. Vick.

A Funeral Service will be held at 2 PM Sunday, February 3, 2019 in Capron Baptist Church with the Rev. Ron Carr officiating.  Burial will follow in Capron Cemetery.  The family will receive friends Saturday from 6-8 PM in Wright Funeral Home and suggests Memorial Donations may be made to Capron Baptist Church.  The family would like to thank the staff of The Village at Woods Edge for their loving care.   www.wrightfuneralhome.org
