Franklin, VA – Emmitt Edward "Eddie" Drake, Jr., 70, passed away December 9, 2011. A son of the late Emmitt Edward Drake and Page Cutchins Drake, he was a veteran of the Air Force during the Vietnam era and was a retired scalesman in the Roll Finishing Department of Union Camp. He was predeceased by a grandson, "Little" Billy Drake.
Left to cherish his memory is his wife, Louise Drake; sons, Billy Drake and wife, Lisa of Franklin and Barry Drake of Muberry, FL; grandchildren, Crystal D. Beale and husband, David and Austin Drake; great-grandchildren, Haley and Keira Wicks; sister, Gloria Beale and husband, Wes of Suffolk and brother, Jimmy Drake and wife, Fran of Midlothian.
A gathering of family and friends will be at 7 pm, Tuesday, December 13, 2011 at Wright Funeral Home and at other times at the home of Billy Drake, 29022 Sunbeam Road in Franklin. www.wrightfuneralhome.org.
