Franklin – Emily Loretta Simms, 77, passed away June 20, 2025 in East Pavilion.  Born in Franklin and a former resident of Ivor, she was a daughter of the late George Thomas Babb and Jane Turner Babb.  She was also predeceased by her husband, Sidney Roscoe Simms; a son, Rodney Scott Simms; and two brothers, Paul Thomas Babb and George Allen Babb.

Emily was a graduate of Southampton High School and a member of Ivor United Methodist Church.

Left to cherish her memory is a son, Lance Simms and his wife Amy; two grandchildren, Brendan Simms and Bryce Simms; and two sisters, Rose B. Rose and Hilda B. Edwards (Marvin).

A Memorial Service will be held at 11AM Friday, June 27, 2025 in Wright Funeral Home with Pastor Sharon Spivey officiating.
