Franklin – Harry Emerson Bradshaw, 83, passed away on July 26, 2020 in Sentara Obici Hospital.  Raised in Black Creek and Sedley, he was a son of the late Robert Lee Bradshaw and Doris Vick Bradshaw.  Emerson was also predeceased by his first wife Wilma Faye Bradshaw, his second wife Carrie Dennis Bradshaw, and a brother Bobby Bradshaw.

Emerson was a machinist for Ferguson's Manufacturing in Suffolk and grew up in the Black Creek Baptist Church.  He was a laid back guy who loved his family.  He enjoyed fishing, gardening, and playing guitar in his bands, Faye and Emerson's Country Band and the Country Kut Ups.

Left to cherish his memory are two daughters, Anita Bradshaw Scott (Roy) of Chesapeake and Lycrecia "Lisa" Peace (Ray) of Windsor; a son, Robert Lee Bradshaw (Hope) of Suffolk; three sisters, Gladys Faison, Ruby Harris (Shirley) and Patricia Ritchey (Cletus) all of Chester; a brother, Matthew "Bud" Bradshaw (Judy) of Chester; six grandchildren, Christopher and Kevin Scott, Robbie and Quinn Bradshaw, and Michael and Ashley Peace; two great-grandchildren, Curtis Scott and Hudson Arrowood; and many nieces and nephews.

A Funeral Service will be held at 12 PM Saturday, August 1, 2020 in Wright Funeral Home with Rev. Steve Bradshaw officiating.   Burial will follow in Rosemont Cemetery.  The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service in the funeral home and suggests memorial donations be made to the Alzheimer's Association.
