Boykins- Elizabeth Bryant "Betty" Prince, 76, passed away August 10, 2016 at her home. Betty was born in Franklin and reared in Newsoms. She was a daughter of the late George Robert Prince, Sr. and Jean Bryant Prince.

Betty was a 1957 graduate of Southampton High School and a 1961 graduate of Mary Washington University. She was a member of Newsoms United Methodist Church.

Survivors include a brother, George R. "Bobby" Prince, Jr and wife, PuCha, of Roswell, GA; a step-sister, Sandy Holloman, of Courtland and a niece, Deborah Prince and cousins.

A graveside service will be held at 11AM Saturday, August 20, 2016 at Hollywood Cemetery, Newsoms, with the Rev. Ian Hackmann officiating. Memorial donations may be made to Newsoms United Methodist Church, c/o Jenny Bunn, P.O. Box 297, Newsoms, VA 23874.
