Edna W. Saunders

Franklin – Edna Williams Saunders, 106, died on December 29, 2011. Mrs. Saunders was a native of Portsmouth and a daughter of the late Robert Cooper and Beulah Moore Williams. She was the widow of J.D. Saunders, Jr. of Windsor.
Survivors include her son, Wayne D. Saunders; three grandchildren, Lorrie Gaskins and husband, Glenn, Woody Saunders and wife, Candace, and Stephen Saunders and four great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by four sisters and four brothers.
A graveside service will be held Saturday, December 31, 2011 at 11 a.m. in Holly Lawn Cemetery, Suffolk. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the East Pavilion Discretionary Fund, 100 Fairview Dr., Franklin, VA 23851. Wright Funeral Home has charge of arrangements.
