Obituary

Franklin – Edna Pittman "Pudden" Blythe, 91, widow of Herman Robert Blythe, died January 10, 2009. She was born in Courtland, a daughter of the late Victor and Rebecca Terrell Rollison Pittman. Mrs. Blythe was predeceased by two sisters Ann Fridell and Margaret P. Hutchison, and a brother, Leon R. "Boss" Pittman. She was a graduate of Courtland High School and a member of Hunterdale Christian Church.
Survivors include two daughters, Jane B. Wood (Phillip), Ann B. Duck (George); two sons, H. Fred Blythe (Joyce), and H. Pitt Blythe (Mollie); eight grandchildren, Lori Blythe Burgess, David C. Blythe, Charles David Blythe, Kevin H. Blythe, P. Carl Wood, Creg S. Wood, Shannon L. Rose, Brandi D. Gray; and ten great-grandchildren, Mollie Patricia Blythe, Clay Blythe, Tyler Burgess, Madeline Burgess, Lindsey Blythe, Jacob Blythe, McKenna Wood, Dawson Wood, Justin Wood, and Avery Rose.
The funeral will be conducted at 11 am Tuesday at Wright Funeral Home with the Rev. Don Rosie and the Rev. Tim Webb officiating. Interment will follow in Poplar Spring Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 7 to 8: 30 pm Monday at the funeral home and suggests memorials be made to the American Cancer Society, c/o Kathy Worrell, 717 Fairview Drive, Franklin, Va. 23851. www.wrightfuneralhome.org
