Corapeake, NC – Edna Lucille Jefferson Sparks, 55, passed away December 19, 2010 at Sentara Norfolk General Hospital. She was born in Norfolk, was a 1973 graduate of Oscar Smith High School, and was a quality assistant at Crown Cork and Seal in Suffolk.
Left to cherish her memory is her husband of 35 years, Jimmy Sparks; two daughters, Misty Dawn Peacock (Allen) of Princeton, NC and Mandy Lynn Futrell (Brian)of Capron, VA; one son Jimmy Sparks, II of Corapeake; ten grandchildren, Samantha, Christopher, Lane, Alexis, India, Cam'Ron, James, Raven, Caleb, and Mason; her mother, Nora Rascoe Jefferson of Norfolk, VA; one sister, Linda J. Moore of Ft. Pierce, FL; three brothers, Larry Jefferson of Illinois, Haywood Jefferson of Norfolk, VA, and George Jefferson of Sunbury, NC; and several nieces and nephews. Mrs. Sparks was predeceased by her father, Samuel Jefferson.
A memorial service will be conducted at 2 pm Wednesday, December 22, 2010 at Wright Funeral Home, Franklin, VA., with the Rev. Thomas Speight officiating. The family will receive friends following the service at the funeral home.
