Earnest Eldridge Green, Sr.

Franklin – Earnest Eldridge “Earnie” Green, Sr., 81, passed away July 29, 2026 in Sentara Obici Hospital. Born in Tuscaloosa, Alabama, he was a son of the late Calvin Levi Green and Emma Hughes Green. He was also predeceased by three sisters, Frances Connell (Earl), Mary Waters (Richard), and Nancy Robinn (James) and two brothers, William Green and Billy Joe Green (Nancy).

Earnie was a retired Registered Nurse in the Emergency Room at Southampton Memorial Hospital.

Left to cherish his memory is his wife of 60 years, Jenelle Lynn “Jeni” Green; a daughter, Jerri Green; two sons, Earnest E. Green Jr. of Franklin and Eric Edward Green (Helen) of Frisco, TX; two sisters, Rosa Mae Emfinger (Bunk) and Kathy G. Benge, both of Alabama; six grandchildren, five great grandchildren; and a host of nieces and nephews.

Services will be private.
