Boykins – Earl Benjamin Miles, 66, passed away April 4, 2010 at Courtland Healthcare Center. Born in Jackson, NC, he was a son of the late Richard Benjamin Miles and Mary Elizabeth Johnson, and was predeceased by two brothers, Floyd Julian Darden and John Thomas Miles. Earl was a retired painter.
Survivors include his wife, Joyce L. Miles; two daughters, Ellen Miles Cutchins (Warren) of Sedley and Betty Miles Smith of Boykins; one son, William Russell Miles (Denise) of Rich Square, NC; three sisters, Linda Elizabeth Parker of Winton, NC, Judith Carol Rose, and Kathy Marie Darden both of Newsoms; one brother, Curtis Allen Miles of Capron; nine grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.
The funeral will be conducted at 3 pm Wednesday, April 7, 2010, at Wright Funeral Chapel, Boykins, with the Rev. Raymond Bunn officiating. Interment will follow in Hollywood Cemetery, Newsoms. The family will receive friends from 7 to 8:30 pm Tuesday at the funeral home. The family would like to thank the staff of Courtland Healthcare for their wonderful care.
