Boykins – Earl Washington Fuller, Sr., 97, passed away July 9, 2012 at Southampton Memorial Hospital. He was a devoted member of Boykins Baptist Church for 90 years where he was a lifetime deacon and trustee and was presented a commemorative key to the church in recognition for his 35 year record of opening the church every Sunday morning. Mr. Fuller was a retired farmer and a former member of Newsoms Masonic Lodge. He was predeceased by his wife of 75 years, Ednola Britton Fuller, a brother, Henry Fuller and four sisters, Violet Bryant, Daisy Edwards, Virginia Futrell and Annie Ruth Fuller.
Left to cherish his memory is his son, Dr. Earl "Tim" Fuller, Jr. and wife, Dean, grandchildren, Eric and Travis Fuller, great grandchildren, Amelia and Jacob Fuller and a host of nieces and nephews.
A memorial service will be held at 2 PM Saturday, July 21, 2012 at Boykins Baptist Church with Rev Tom Caulkins officiating. The family will receive friends from 1 to 1:45 prior to the service in the church fellowship hall and suggest that in lieu of flowers, memorials be made to Boykins Baptist Church.
