Suffolk – Douglas Wayne Vick, 54, passed away on October 10, 2022 in Sentara Obici Hospital.   He was predeceased by his mother, Susan Worsham Vick.

Doug was a 1986 graduate of Franklin High School and received an Associate's Degree from Chowan University.  He was an Eagle Scout, a former safety coordinator for International Paper, and was the manager of Fastenal Company in Suffolk.

He is survived by his father, Jesse Alton "Sonny" Vick, Jr.; two brothers, David Craig Vick (Michelle) of Brodnax and Brian Keith Vick (Kristene) of Shawboro, NC; a niece, Trenity Vick; and three nephews, Brycen Vick, Blake Vick, and Thomas Kirk, Jr.

A Graveside Service will be held at 2PM Sunday, October 16, 2022 in Poplar Spring Cemetery off of Homestead Lane in Franklin with Rev. Steve Gibson officiating.  Memorial donations made be made to Franklin Baptist Church.
