Windsor - Dorothy Batten Whitley, 84, passed away August 13, 2015 at Consulate Health Care of Windsor. She was a native of Isle of Wight County and was a daughter of the late Willie Sherman Batten and Georgie Mae Holland Batten and was predeceased by a sister, Edith Whitley. She was a 1949 graduate of Windsor High School and retired from Smithfield Packing.

Left to cherish her memory is a daughter, Linda W. Drake and husband Jerry of Windsor, one sister, Ina Mae Holland of Suffolk, two grandchildren, Candy Marston (Stephen) and Lisa Drake, two great - grandchildren, Madelynn Brooke Marston and Landon Thomas Marston.

Entombment was held at 1 PM Friday, August 14, 2015 at Meadowbrook Memorial Gardens. Wright Funeral Home, Franklin had charge of arrangements. www.wrightfuneralhome.org
