Dorothy Felts Wade

Courtland – Dorothy Felts Wade, 99, passed away October 22, 2026 in her home with her family by her side. Born and raised in Ivor, she was a daughter of the late William Thomas Felts and Lillie Mae Joyner Felts. She was also predeceased by her husband, Edward Owen Wade; a daughter, Katherine Wade Williams; sisters, Nannie Councill, Frances Lassiter, Elsie White, and Louise Pittman; and brothers, Bobby Felts, Julian Felts, Clifton Felts, and Jimmy Felts.

Dorothy was a member of Sunbeam Baptist Church where she was a former Deacon. Dorothy loved helping people, her family, and her Lord.

Left to cherish her memory are her daughter, Susan Wade Okleshen; a sister, Betty Jo Abernathy; a grandson, Casey Parker Okleshen; a great grandson, Wyatt; and many nieces and nephews.

A Graveside Service will be held at 2PM Sunday, October 25, 2026 in Riverside Cemetery with Pastor Hoyle Green officiating. The family will receive friends Saturday from 6 to 8PM in Wright Funeral Home and suggests memorial donations be made to Sunbeam Baptist Church.
