Franklin- Doris Harrell Turner, 97, widow of F. Peyton Turner passed away peacefully at her home July 8, 2016. Doris "MeMa" was born in Holland, VA to the late Lonnie W. and Annie Darden Harrell. Besides her parents she was predeceased by her sisters, Ethel Harrell and Glynn Dansey; her brothers, Whidbee Harrell and Lewis Harrell, a son-in-law, Ronald B. Edwards and a daughter-in-law, Hannelore Turner.

She was a member of Hunterdale Christian Church.

Left to cherish her memory are daughter, Rebecca T. Edwards; and sons, Thomas P. Turner (Donna), C. Harrell Turner (Cynthia), C. Kea Turner (Susan), and Murray H. Turner (Marianne) and 15 grandchildren, 16 great grandchildren and five great-great grandchildren.

A service to celebrate her life will be held at 3PM Monday July, 11, 2016 in Wright Funeral Home with Wayne Blythe officiating. The burial will follow at Poplar Spring Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Sunday from 6 to 8PM and at other times at Mrs. Turner's home at 139 Dale Circle.
