Franklin – Doris Jean Layton Myers, 84, passed away December 7, 2025 in East Pavilion.  Born and raised in Suffolk, she was a daughter of the late Howard and Irene Layton and was also predeceased by her husband, Henry Milton "Hank" Myers, her son, Herman Alvin Parker, Jr., and a sister, Donna Layton.

Doris was a Beautician in Suffolk and Franklin for 52 years and was a member of the American Legion Auxiliary.  Doris was a member of Franklin Congregational Christian Church.

Left to cherish her memory is her daughter-in-law, Theresa Parker, and her grandchildren, Michael Duff, Niki Parker, and Debbie Jean Lester.

A Funeral Service will be held at 11AM Thursday, December 11, 2025 in Wright Funeral Home with Rev. James H. Hyatt, Jr. officiating.  Burial will be private.  The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service in the funeral home and suggests that memorial donations be made to Franklin Congregational Christian Church.
