Franklin - Doris Anna Stopfer Dutkiewicz, 87, passed on to Glory May 23, 2007 at the East Pavilion. She was born January 24, 1920 in Philadelphia, Pa., a daughter of the late William and Doris Anna Thompson Stopfer. She was also predeceased by her husband of 62 wonderful years, Raymond Dutkiewicz. Mrs. Dutkiewicz was a member of Franklin Church of God and New Life Assembly in Philadelphia where she was known as the "Tambourine Lady"
Doris was known at East Pavilion, and by her family, for her singing and dancing. Everyone there knew her "favorite song". They knew her as a very loving, compassionate, giving, and praying servant of the Lord. There are no words to express how much she will be missed by her loving daughters and friends.
Left to cherish her memory are two daughters, Helen Mae McGinty of Chalfont, PA., and Carol Ann Saffell and husband, Gary, of Newsoms; two sisters, Clara Pfoul and Deloris Vasello, both of Philadelphia; one brother, William Stopfer of New Jersey; nine grandchildren, 16 great-grandchildren; and 2 great-great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by a sister, Helen Jones.
A funeral will be conducted at 10:00 am Saturday, June 2, at Modzianowski Funeral Home in Philadelphia with burial to follow in Westminster Cemetery. A memorial service will be held in Franklin at a later date. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Alzheimer's Association, P. O. Box 1224, Franklin, Va. 23851.
