Obituary

Franklin – Doris Perkins Bulls, 81, passed away August 29, 2018 in Bickford Assisted Living in Suffolk. She was born in Nansemond County and raised in Corapeake, NC, and was a former resident of Hampton. Doris was a daughter of the late Judson J. and Lottie Kelly Perkins. She was predeceased by her great grandson, Travis Allen "T.J." Mahony, Jr., and her aunt Maude Kelly. Doris was a 1955 graduate of Sunbury High School and a retired banker with 36 years of service. She was a member of Black Creek Baptist Church and its Fellowship Class.

Survivors include her husband Charles Irvin Bulls; two daughters Lynne B. Greco (George) and Kelly Rose Bunch; two grandchildren Jessica L. Chaney (Mark) and Amanda B. Mahony (Travis); two great grandchildren Bailey Rae Mahony and Emily Marie Chaney; five sisters Virginia P. Moore, Ann P. Burgandine (Earl), Jane P. Bush, Barbara Jean Sipple (Buck), and Faye P. Grady (Bob); one aunt Mary K. O'Dell; and numerous cousins, nieces and nephews.

A Funeral will be held at 11 AM Saturday, September 1, 2018, in Black Creek Baptist Church with the Rev. Curtis Faison officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends from 7-8:30 PM Friday in Wright Funeral Home. Memorial donations may be made to the Black Creek Baptist Church Building Fund.   www.wrightfuneralhome.org
