Franklin – Sidney Donald "Donnie" Eason, 71, died March 9, 2010 at Southampton Memorial Hospital. He was born in Franklin and was predeceased by hid father, Sidney Elmo Eason. Donnie was a U. S. Air Force veteran of the Viet Nam era, a retired salesman and barber, and an avid fisherman and hunter. He was a member of Franklin Baptist Church. He was a former member of the Franklin Lion's Club, Hunterdale Ruritan Club, and Cypress Cove Country Club.
Left to cherish his memory are his mother, Susie Edwards Branch Eason, two daughters, Susan Ann E. Windrum (Matthew) of Croton-on-Hudson, NY and Donna Lynn E. Rice (Tim) of Windsor; one sister, Betty E. Lowe of Franklin; five grandchildren, Matthew Ryan Windrum, Emma Katherine Windrum, Kellie Kokes, Donald Thomas Rice, and Betsy Rice; one niece, Sharon Hill; and two nephews, Kenny and Michael Lowe.
The funeral will be conducted at 3 pm Sunday in the chapel of Wright Funeral Home with the Rev. Sharon James and the Rev. James W. Browder, III, officiating. Interment will follow in Poplar Spring Cemetery. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.
