Franklin – Donna Taylor Evans, 63, passed away July 15, 2026 in Courtland Health and Rehab.  Born on December 26, 1962 in Fort Polk, Louisiana, she was a daughter of the late George MacDonald Taylor and Marjorie Sitterson Taylor.  She was also predeceased by a sister, Joan Williford.

Donna was an insurance agent and a member of the WWW Book Club and Franklin Baptist Church.  She loved antiquing, thrifting, going to auctions, and spending time with her granddaughter Audrey.  She also looked forward to annual trips to Manteo and sitting on the beach with her little dog, Gracie!  Donna shared a beautiful life and made many fond memories with Burt. She was a sweet and caring person who always put others above herself.  She was a rock and voice of reason for her family who will be missed and cherished in their hearts.

Left to cherish her memory is her husband of 27 years, William Burton "Burt" Evans, Jr.; two daughters, Ashleigh Jedlowski (Ron) and Perrin Evans, all of Suffolk; a son, Andrew Evans (Jenn) of Chesapeake; a sister, Patricia Gould of Suffolk; a granddaughter, Audrey Jedlowski; a host of nieces and nephews; and her beloved Gracie.

A Memorial Service will be held at 2:30PM Sunday, August 2, 2026 in Franklin Baptist Church with Rev. Dr. Charles Qualls officiating.  The family suggests that memorial donations be made to the National Kidney Foundation, 10286 Staples Mill Rd, Box 814, Glen Allen, VA  23060 or Franklin Baptist Church.
