Portsmouth – David Willis Scott, 77, passed away August 21, 2011 at Maryview Medical Center. He was born in Boston, MA, a son of the late Herman Willis and Dorothy McBrayer Scott. David was an Air Force veteran, an artist, and a member of the Mosaic Church of Norfolk.
Survivors include five daughters, Diane, Debbie, Ivy, Naomi, and Patty; one son David L. Scott of Carlsbad, CA; four brothers, Richard N. Scott (Betty) of Warminister, PA, Joe Scott (Sandi) of New Bern, NC, Mark Scott (Tina) of Courtland, Samuel C. Scott (Rachel) of Knoxville, TN.; and a host of grandchildren, nieces, and nephews.
A memorial service to celebrate the life of David will be conducted at 7 pm, Friday August 26, 2011 at the Mosaic Church of Norfolk, 325 Granby Street. Wright Funeral Home in Franklin is assisting the family.
