Suffolk – David Allen Poirier, 80, passed away unexpectedly December 12, 2024.  Born in Massachusetts, he was a Navy Veteran and a retired machine mechanic for Sonoco Company with over 30 years of service.

Dave, affectionately known as "Yank", was a member of Cypress Cove Country Club where he was an avid golfer and friend that will be greatly missed.

Left to cherish his memory is his domestic partner and better half of 24 years, Bonnie Probst; two daughters, Trisha Poirier of Massachusetts and Jenna Poirier of Suffolk; and six grandchildren, Bent, Kyle, Ashley, Armory, J.J., and Nola Poirier.

Per his request, there will be no services.  Memorial donations may be made to the American Cancer Society.
