Troutman, NC – David C. Lambert, 86, passed away on Thursday, September 28, 2023.  He was born on February 28, 1937, in Buncombe County, NC to the late John and Grace Hensley Lambert.

Dave was a retired veteran having served in the US Air Force for 22 years, and attended Triplett Church where he served as an usher. He enjoyed playing golf and cards. He was an avid Dallas Cowboys fan and loved spending time with his family and friends. He will be greatly missed.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his first wife, Jan Lambert.  He is survived by his loving wife, Sylvia Washington Lambert; children, Dewayne Lambert and wife, Debra, Greg Lambert and wife, Jennifer, Ginger Presson and husband, Blake, Kathy Hughes, Scott Rhodes and wife, Becky; 10 grandchildren; 9 great-grandchildren; mother-in-law, Lucille Washington; sister-in-law, Nelda Thompson; brother-in-law, Michael Thompson.

The family will receive friends from 6:00-8:00 PM, Wednesday, October 4, 2023, at Cavin-Cook Funeral Home, Mooresville.  A graveside service will be held at 2:00 PM, Friday, October 6, 2023, at Popular Springs Cemetery, 800 North High Street, Franklin, VA 23851 with full military honors.
