Franklin – David Wayne "Hop" Hopkins, 48, passed away December 26, 2009. He was born in Portsmouth, a son of the late David A. and Frances Smith Hopkins. Wayne was also predeceased by a brother, Mark Thomas Hopkins. He is survived by numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends. A celebration of life will be held at 7 p.m. on Wednesday December 30, 2009 at Fred's Restaurant.
