D. Edward Hargrave, Jr.

Courtland – Rev. David Edward "Eddie" Hargrave, Jr., 51, went to be with the Lord on April 22, 2007. Eddie served as youth minister at Alta Vista Church of God, Charlottesville from 75-80, attended East Coast Bible College from 82-84, served as children's pastor at Franklin Church of God from 84-86, children's minister at Southside Church of God, Charlottesville from 86-92, pastor at Dillwyn Church of God from 92-93, pastor of Cumberland Church of God from 93-95, pastor of South Hill Pentacostal Holiness Church from 95-98, pastored in Courtland from 98-99, pastored at Spout Springs Pentacostal Holiness Church from 99-2000, and was lay minister at Monroe Church of God.
Left to cherish his memory is his wife of 31 years, Priscilla Thorne Hargrave; his parents, Shirley Hilderbrand and David Edward Hargrave, Sr. ; two daughters, Jennifer H. Collins and husband, Rodney, of Powhatan and Tracy Hargrave of Courtland; two grandchildren, Selah MacKenzie Collins and Levi Reilley Collins. He was predeceased by a grandson, Kelsey Collins.
The funeral will be conducted at 11 a.m. Wednesday at Franklin Church of God with the Rev. James Ashby officiating . The family will receive friends today from 7 to 8:30 p.m. at Wright Funeral Home, Franklin, and suggests memorials be made to the Rev. D.E. Hargrave, Jr. Memorial Fund, P.O. Box 743, Franklin, VA 23851.
