Suffolk – Daniel Francis Smith, 77, passed away August 1, 2025 in his home.  Born on February 10, 1948 in Ohio, he was a son of the late Rev. Rolland C. Smith and Thelma Clara Myers Smith.

Daniel was a retired Sgt. First Class from the US Army.  He received a Bachelor's Degree from Malone College in Ohio and attended Seminary for 2 years at Anderson College in Anderson, IN.

Left to cherish his memory is his wife of 52 years, Cherie Baril Smith; a daughter, Andrea Roher of Suffolk; two sons, Mark Smith of Richmond and Greg Smith of Suffolk; two brothers, Rolland Thomas "Tom" Smith of North Grafton, MA and Samuel Allen "Sam" Smith of Canton, OH; and four grandsons.

Services will be private.
