Obituary

Franklin – Dale Edward Marlin, 82, passed away October 26, 2020 in The Village at Woods Edge.  Born in Nashville, TN, he was a son of the late Robert and Oline Karnes Marlin.

Dale was a US Navy Veteran and a retired electrician for International Paper.  He was also an electrical engineer/site superintendent for Contel Page in Saudia Arabia and a former Union President at Union Camp Particleboard.

He was a member of the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers and a member of Kingdom Life Ministries.

Left to cherish his memory are his wife of 57 years, Helen King Marlin; two daughters, Dawn Marlin Worrell and Dianna Marlin Whitehurst (Buddy) both of Franklin; a son, Dale Edward Marlin, II (Sherre) of Franklin; a sister, Joyce Forgarty of Madison, TN; two brothers, Bud Marlin of Murfreesboro, TN and Don Marlin of Shepherdsville, KY; five grandchildren, Randy Bradshaw Worrell, Jr., Lindsay Worrell Speight, Colby Lauren Worrell, Hunter Jeff Eggleston, and Mackenzie Brooke Marlin; and one great grandchild, Parker Speight and one more on the way, Layla.

A Funeral Service will be held at 2 PM Thursday, October 29, 2020 in Wright Funeral Home with Pastor Dave Dillon officiating.  Burial with Military Honors will be held at 10AM Friday in Albert G. Horton Jr. Veteran's Memorial Cemetery.  The family suggests that memorial donations be made to the Alzheimer's Association, 6350 Center Dr., Suite 102, Norfolk, VA 23502.
