Suffolk – Daisy Blythe Johnson, 86, widow of Lloyd James Johnson, died July 11, 2008. She was born in Southampton County, a daughter of the late McKinley and Florence Lankford Blythe and was a member of Franklin Church of God.
Left to cherish her memory is her daughter, Hazel J. Parker and husband, George, of Eure, NC; a son James K. "Boo" Johnson and wife, Mickey, of Gates County; a brother, Ashby Blythe of Franklin; special friend, John Savage, of Sunbury, NC; eight grandchildren; thirteen great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild. Mrs. Johnson was predeceased by a son, Lloyd Ronald Johnson, and four brothers, Sherman, Thurman, Otis and Morgan Blythe.
A graveside service will be held Monday at 2 pm in Southampton Memorial Park with the Rev. Billy Pressley and the Rev. Michael Brinkley officiating. Wright Funeral Home has charge of arrangements. www.wrightfuneralhome.org
