Como, NC – Cynthia Gore Nichols, 59, passed away in her home with her family by her side after an eight year battle with ocular melanoma metastatic cancer.  Born in Newport News, VA, she was a daughter of the late Carlton Bruce "Sonny" Young, Jr. and Margie Marie Hassell Young.  She was also predeceased by her first husband, Harold S. Gore.

Cindy loved to make concrete statues and tend to her plants and flowers but her heart revolved around her family especially her grandchildren.

Left to cherish her memory is her husband, Frank Duane Nichols; her daughters, Jennifer Futrell and Ashley Eure (Tony); her brother, C. Bruce Young, III; and her grandchildren, Trinity Eure and Londyn Futrell.

A Memorial Service will be held at 6PM Friday, June 17, 2022 in Wright Funeral Home, 206 W. 4 ^th Ave., Franklin, VA.  For those who wish to send flowers, please send house plants or memorial donations may be made to New Vision Ministries, 1845 NC-11, Murfreesboro, NC 27855 or the American Cancer Society.
