Obituary

Courtland - Cynthia D Griffin went home to heavenly Father God on February 5, 2026.  She was born on October 28, 1959, to William R. Deal and Mildred M. Taylor. She was predeceased by both of her parents noted above, and her brother, John T. Hill.

Cindy was a loving and spirited woman whose heart belonged to her family, the outdoors and the simple joys of life.

She lived with a strong, independent spirit and a deep appreciation for animals. She found peace and happiness outside- especially at the horse barn, fishing, and enjoying everything the outdoors had to offer. She had a special love for horses, a passion that reflected her free-spirited nature and heart.

She dedicated her career to emergency nursing, spending years caring for others in their most difficult moments.

Above all, Cindy loved her family, and she cherished the moments spent together. She was also deeply devoted to her beloved dog, Rush, who brought her comfort, companionship, and joy

Cindy is survived by her loving husband, Dean Griffin; her sister in law, Cindy and spouse Gene; her children, Will and Madison; son-in-law, Chris; and her grandchildren, Dylan, Luke, and Mason, who brought her endless pride and happiness.

Cindy will be remembered for her strength, smile and the love she gave to those close. Her presence will be deeply missed, but her memory will live on in the hearts of everyone who knew and loved her.

In honoring her legacy, we invite family and friends to gather on Tuesday, February 10, 2026 from 4pm to 6pm to celebrate her life at her home located in Courtland, Va.
