Norfolk – Curtis Howard Price, 64, passed away August 27, 2024, in Norfolk.  He was born in Chicago, IL and moved to Virginia when he was a teenager.  He was the son of the late Howard William Price and Kitty Saunders Price.  Curtis was also predeceased by his wife, Bethel Simmons Caldwell Price, and his brother, Scott Price.

Left to cherish his memory are his sisters, Debbie Trump of Sedley and Pam Campbell of Norman, OK, a best friend that was like a brother to him, Shawn McKenzie of Pueblo, CO, and many nieces and nephews.

Curtis moved to Colorado over 30 years ago where he found peace in his life hiking, camping and fishing.

He attended college in Colorado Springs, Co and received his Associate in Applied Science Degree.  He worked for a semi-conductor plant in Colorado Springs and Fort Collins, CO.

While in Colorado he met and married the love of his life, Bethel whom he called his "Angel".  They enjoyed fishing on his boat, riding his Harley, and camping.  After Bethel passed away from a brief battle with cancer in 2022, Curtis moved back to VA where he reunited with family and friends.

Curtis celebrated 34 years of sobriety recently with his close NA friends that he sponsored many of them over the years.

"God grant me the serenity to accept the things I cannot change, the courage to change the things I can, and the wisdom to know the difference."

His memorial service will be private.
