Courtney F. Bowyer

Franklin - Courtney Frankfort Bowyer, 65, a loving wife, devoted mother, grandmother and beloved daughter and sister, passed away April 11, 2007 at her home in Stuart, Fl., following a courageous battle with cancer. A former school teacher, she was born in Franklin, attended Randolph Macon Woman's College and graduated from Arizona State University when her family relocated to Tempe, AZ. She was a member of Franklin Congregational Christian Church.
Left to cherish her memory is her husband, Robert M. (Bobby) Bowyer; her parents, Phil and Rae Frankfort of Franklin; two daughters, Leslie B. Clarke and husband, Christian, of Indianapolis, IN and Whitney Elise Harris and husband, Chris, of Daytona Beach, FL; a sister, Margaret (Peggy) F. Collins and husband, Thomas, of Athens, GA; twin brothers, Philip (Flip) Frankfort and wife, Leslie, of Rockford, Ill and Ellis M. (Mac) Frankfort and wife, Caroline, of Lynchburg, VA; three grandchildren, Abby and Kendall Clarke and Collin Harris.
A graveside service will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday in Poplar Spring Cemetery with the Rev. Susan Reaves officiating. The family suggests memorials may be made to the Stuart Heritage Museum, 161 S.W. Flagler St., Stuart, Fl., 34994.
