Franklin – Constance O'Berry "Connie" Vick, 84, widow of Herbert E. Vick, Jr., passed away September 20, 2021 at Piedmont Hospital in Atlanta, Georgia with her family by her side.   Born in Franklin, raised in Newsoms and a long time resident of Franklin, she was the daughter of the late William Thomas O'Berry and Elsie Story O'Berry.  She was also predeceased by her step-mother, Judy O'Berry.

Connie was a graduate of Newsoms High School and a 1958 graduate of Radford University.  She was a longtime teacher at Southampton Academy and retired from Southampton County Dept. of Social Services.  Connie was a member of Franklin Baptist Church.

Left to cherish her memory is her daughter, Susan Vick Dunn and her husband Chris Dunn of Roswell, GA; her granddaughter, Katie Dunn of Roswell, GA; her sister, Rita O. Lewis and her husband Herbert M. Lewis and great niece Paige Parker of Franklin; two brothers-in-law, Carroll Vick and his wife Joyce of Myrtle Beach and Julian Pollard of Richmond; and two sisters-in-law, Dorothy Vick of Franklin and Jane Ellen Vick of Newsoms.

A Memorial Service will be held at 11AM Saturday, October 9, 2021 in Wright Funeral Home with Rev. James H. Hyatt, Jr. officiating.  Burial will be private.  The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service in the funeral home and suggests that memorial donations be made to the Alzheimer's Association, 6350 Center Drive, Suite 102, Norfolk, VA 23502.
