Scotland Neck – Clifton Lee Turner, 70, passed away August 8, 2017 at Vidant Medical Center in Greenville, NC surrounded by his family. Clifton was a native of Carrsville, VA and was a son of the late Charlie and Nellie Grace McClenny Turner.

Left to cherish his memory is his wife of 47 years, Patricia Hedgepeth Turner, and two sons, Duke Turner (Nancy) of Sedley, VA and Tracey Turner (Cindy) of Wakefield, VA., four grandchildren, Brittany Turner, Jennifer Turner, Corey Turner and Brennan Turner, seven sisters, Margie Copeland, Christian Cameron, Irene Williams, Betty Daughtrey, Mary Turner, Margaret Brown and Audrey Turner, four great grandchildren and 31 nieces and nephews.

Besides his parents Mr. Turner was predeceased by his grandson Chris Turner and four sisters, Virgie Archer, Essie Stevens, Nellie Grace Turner and Elsie Basl and one brother Charlie Turner, Jr.

A graveside funeral will be held at 2PM Saturday, August 12, 2017 at Southampton Memorial Park, Franklin, VA with Pastor Randy Wright officiating. The family will receive friends at Wright Funeral Home, Franklin , VA from 6 to 8PM Friday. www.wrightfuneralhome.org
