Cliff Vincent,
Jr.
May 8, 1958 — Feb 27, 2021
Suffolk
Suffolk - Clifton "Cliff" Vincent, Jr., 62, passed away peacefully in the comfort of his home on February 27, 2021 surrounded by his family including his loyal canine companions, Max and Ruby.
Cliff enjoyed spending time outdoors doing yardwork. Cutting grass was his absolute favorite hobby rain or shine, whether it needed it or not. He enjoyed riding his motorcycle, washing and waxing his truck, and a good crab feast with his family and friends. He attended Rock Church in Franklin where he developed a genuine friendship with Pastor David Dillon. His favorite place to be was at home, in his recliner, watching re-runs of all his favorite shows with Ginger. As a former truck driver, he enjoyed traveling while listening to a variety of music on his iPod. His pet peeves included doors being left open, lights being left on, or someone touching the thermostat.
Cliff was preceded in death by his parents, Clifton Vincent, Sr. (Laura) and Virginia Lassiter (William), his extraordinary grandson Zachary and numerous family and friends that we know were waiting with open arms to welcome him into the glorious Kingdom of Heaven. Cliff's faith was strong and shortly before his passing he said "The first person I'll look for when I get there is Zach". This gives the family great comfort knowing that Zach and his Paw Paw are together.
Left to cherish his memory are his first and only love of forty-two and a half years, Ginger Vincent; his devoted daughters, Valerie Howell (Kevin) and Jennifer Council (Brandon); his grandchildren Tyler Bennett Howell, Jase Clifton Howell, and Berklee Hart Council; three loving sisters, Cindy (Jim), Gloria (Tony), and Ann; and several nieces and nephews.
A graveside service officiated by Pastor David Dillon will be held at 3:30pm on Thursday, March 4, 2021 in Poplar Spring Cemetery in the New Annex off of Homestead Rd in Franklin, Va. The family has requested that everyone dress casually and comfortably as Cliff always did. In lieu of flowers please donate to a charity of your choice.
The family would like to extend their heartfelt gratitude to The Western Tidewater Free Clinic, VOA, EVMS and Medi Home Health & Hospice for their skilled and compassionate care of Cliff and his family.
