Windsor – Claude Thurman "Tom" Parker, 88, passed away January 6, 2023 in Sentara Obici Hospital.  Born in Isle of Wight County, he was a son of the late Claude Thomas Parker and Florine Adell Rhodes Parker.  He was also predeceased by two brothers, Franklin Gilmer Parker and George Thomas Parker.

Tom was a graduate of Windsor High School and was a US Army veteran.  He was a retired Maintenance Supervisor for Union Camp Corporation retiring with 38 years of service.  He was a member of Woodman of the World and Purdie Masonic Lodge #170 AF & AM.  Tom was a lifelong member of Colosse Baptist Church.

Survivors include his wife of 60 years, Josie Joyner Parker; his daughter, Jeannette P. Fritts ; two sons, Jeffrey W. Parker (Pam)  and Joseph C. Parker (Gwen); four grandchildren, Matthew T. Fritts, Paige E. Fritts, Jerry W. Chapman (Chelsea), and Aaron M. Warner and three great grandchildren.

A Funeral Service with Masonic Rites will be held at 3 PM Tuesday January 10, 2023 in Colosse Baptist Church with Pastor Tim Webb officiating.  Burial with Military Honors will follow in Colosse Baptist Church Cemetery.  The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 PM Monday January 9, 2023 in Wright Funeral Home and suggests that memorial donations be made to the Colosse Baptist Church Building Fund or the Masonic Home of Virginia, 4101 Nine Mile Rd, Richmond, VA 23223.
