Clara Boyette Butler, 103, widow of Herman Butler and Jake Butler, passed away May 1, 2016. Mrs. Butler was a lifelong resident of Isle of Wight County and was a daughter of the late Charles and Estelle Boyette. She was also predeceased by a sister, Mattie Lee Boyette and two brothers, John and Albert Boyette and three step children, Dorothy Tyree and Carlton and Roger Butler.

Mrs. Butler was a member of Beaver Dam Baptist Church.

Survivors include her son, Charles D. Butler, Sr. of Carrsville and one step daughter, Louise Noles, four grandchildren, Charles "Hot Shot" Butler, Jr., Linda Butler, Patricia Holland (W.H.) and Albert Butler, four great- grandchildren, Brandon Butler, Angel Anderson, Ricky Rautenkranz and Krystal Holland, five great- great grandchildren, Adam, Madison, and Luke Butler, Brianna and Gracie Anderson and a large extended family.

A funeral will be conducted at 11AM Thursday, May 5, 2016 at Wright Funeral Home, Franklin with the Rev. Hoyle Green officiating. Burial will follow at Beaver Dam Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Wednesday from 7 to 8:30PM and suggests that memorial donations be made to the Alzheimer's Foundation. www.wrightfuneralhome.org
