Chesapeake – Christopher Joseph "Chris" Collins, 48, passed away January 27, 2020.  Chris was born in Indiana and was a Navy Veteran serving in Desert Storm and Desert Shield.  He was the Hampton Regional Manager for Strata Solar and a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church.  Chris enjoyed electronics and automobiles.

Left to cherish his memory is his wife Sherry Ann Boyce Collins; his parents John Samuel Collins, Jr. and Iona Marie Leveritt Collins; three daughters Brittney Mae Griffin (Darrius), Laura Marie Byrd, and Abigail Nicole Collins; two sons Christopher Joseph "Joey" Collins, Jr. and Paul Anthony Collins; four sisters Penny Banich, Beth Spencer, Pamela Ard, and Mary Scales; five brothers Sam, David, Michael, Jason, and Jonathan Collins; and four grandchildren Tanner Walker, Emmaleigh Griffin, James Collins, and Averie Barco.  Chris was predeceased by a sister Patricia Tumey.

A Memorial Service with Military Honors will be held at 11 AM Friday, February 7, 2020 in Albert G. Horton Jr. Memorial Veterans Cemetery in Suffolk.
