Christine Stubblefield Searcy

Wakefield – Christine Stubblefield Searcy, 97, passed away September 26, 2026 in her home. Born in Viola, Tennessee, she was a daughter of the late Hugh Thomas Stubblefield and Mary Elizabeth Hancock Stubblefield. She was also predeceased by three brothers, Carl, Leslie, and Hix Stubblefield.

Christine was a received a Bachelor’s Degree from the University of Tennessee in 1950. She was a Home Demonstration Agent for Sussex and Nansemond County and a member of Wakefield United Methodist Church.

Left to cherish her memory are two daughters, Becky S. Duke (David) and Susan S. Repp (Dave); a son, Ketih Searcy; seven grandchildren, Jacob, Angela, Emma, Mary, Bryan, Whitney, and Kelsey; and six great grandchildren.

A Graveside Funeral Service will be held at 1PM Monday, September 28, 2026 at Wakefield Cemetery with Pastor Glenn Riggs officiating. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital or Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center.
