Cherie B. Perry

Franklin – Cherie Bly Perry, 49, passed away after a year long battle with Lou Gehrigs Disease. A 1975 graduate of Franklin High School and a 1979 graduate of University of Richmond, Cherie was presently a Kindergarten teacher at Windsor Elementary School and had previously worked at Suffolk Christian School and Southampton Academy. She was a member of Black Creek Baptist Church where she was a long time Sunday school teacher.
Left to cherish her memory is her mother, Jacqueline E. Bly of Franklin; a sister, Linda Newcomer and husband, Keith, of Franklin ; her nephew, Landon Newcomer and special friend, Mark Carr. She was predeceased by her husband, Steve Perry, and her father, Norris Roger Bly.
The funeral will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday in Wright Funeral Home with the Rev. Greg Kitts and Rev. Willis Switzer officiating. Interment will follow in Riverside Cemetery, Courtland. The family will receive friends at the residence at 34296 Burdette Road and suggests memorials be made to the ALS Association, 7507 Standish Place, Rockville, MD 20855.
