Chesapeake – Charlotte V. Blankenship Jones, 87, passed away February 3, 2024 in Sentara Norfolk General Hospital.  Born in Narrows, VA, she was a daughter of the last Charles Gillespie Blankenship and Polly Perry Blankenship.  She was also predeceased by her husband, Jesse Lee Jones, Sr.; two infant sons; a great grandchild, Gage Wheeler; and two sisters, Patricia Bell and Jackie Mizelle;

Left to cherish her memory is a daughter, Diana Jones Wheeler (Dennis); two sons, Jesse L. Jones, Jr. (Tina) and William D. Jones (Merle), all of Chesapeake; a brother, Gene Blankenship; six grandchildren, Amber Norwood (B.J.), Dennis Wheeler Jr., Jennifer Davis (Matt), Sam Jones, Gregory Jones, and Kylie Perkins (Michael); and six great grandchildren, Dakota, Khalessi, Brannigan, Mekayla, Dennis III and Grand.

A Funeral Service will be held at 2PM Sunday, February 11, 2024 in Wright Funeral Home with Rev. James H. Hyatt, Jr. officiating.  Burial will follow in Mt. Carmel Christian Church Cemetery.  The family suggests that memorial donations be made to Wounded Warriors Project.
