Suffolk – Charles Edward "Chuck" Shifflett, 65, passed away September 18, 2021 in Newport News Nursing and Rehabilitation Center.  Born in Albermarle County, VA and raised in Crozet, he was a son of the late George William Shifflett and Eva Mae Lewis Shifflett.  He is also predeceased by his wife, Linda Gail Roberts Shifflett; an infant son; two sisters, Shirley Ann and Carolyn; and two brothers, Donald Wayne Shifflett and Warren Allen Shifflett.

Chuck was a retired Arborist for the City of Norfolk.    He enjoyed hunting, fishing, riding motorcycles with his son, and going out to eat with his family.  He never met a stranger.

Left to cherish his memory are two sons, Brian Charles Shifflett and his wife Jenny and Jason Shifflett and his wife Teresa; two sisters, Patricia Ann Shifflett and Linda Carol Shifflett; two brothers, George Allen Shifflett and James William Shifflett; and four grandchildren, Leah Shifflett, Kayle Shifflett, Belle Vann, and Brayden Shifflett.

A Funeral Service will be held at 7PM Saturday, September 25, 2021 in Wright Funeral Home with Rev. Michael Hazelwood officiating.  The family will receive friends from 5 to 7PM and suggests that memorial donations be made to any favorite charity.
