Windsor – Charles Gibson Harmon, 81, passed away July 1, 2014 at Sentara Obici. He was a native of Nansemond County, a son of the late C. T. and Hattie Brinkley Harmon and was predeceased by his wife, Rachel Carr Harmon, and a son, Michael Owen Harmon. Charles was a member of Colosse Baptist Church and was retired from farming and Newport News Shipyard.
Left to cherish his memory is his daughter, Charlene H. Paul (Randy) of Lititz, PA; two sons, Carl G. Harmon (Hilda) of Carrsville and C. Randy Harmon (Tracey) of Windsor; one sister, Margaret B. Rhodes, of Montana and four grandchildren, Carrie J. Harmon, Kimberly A. Herr (Jonathan), Trey Paul and Andy Harmon.
A graveside funeral service will be held at 11 AM Thursday, July 3, 2014 in Colosse Cemetery with the Rev. Tim Webb officiating. The family will receive friends from 7 to 8:30 PM on Wednesday, July 2, at the home of Randy and Tracey Harmon at 25465 Old Mill Road, Windsor, VA and suggests memorial donations be made to Colosse Baptist Church Cemetery Fund, 6361 Rhodes Drive, Windsor, VA 23487. www.wrightfuneralhome.org
