Franklin – Charles Dunn Hall, 69, loving husband, father, and grandfather, passed away May 29, 2007 at Sentara Obici Hospital. A native of New Bern, NC, he was a son or the late Pattie Williams Hall and John Allen Hall, Sr. Charles was an Army veteran and was retired from Union Camp after 40 years service. He was a member of the Bronco Rod and Gun Club, an avid collector of Indian artifacts and antique bottles, and enjoyed American history. He was a member of High Street United Methodist Church
Left to cherish his memory is his wife of 46 years, Greta Fowler Hall; two sons, John R. Hall, Jeffrey D. Hall and wife, Mandy, all of Courtland; and one granddaughter (Pop's Buddy) Neva Grace Hall. Mr. Hall was predeceased by four sisters, Frances Lowe, Irma Bell, Ruby Morris, Gail Tawney, and two brothers, Elmer Hall and John A. Hall, Jr.
The graveside service will be conducted at 11 am Friday at Southampton Memorial Park with the Rev. Susan Reaves officiating. The family will receive friends from 7 to 8:30 pm Thursday at Wright Funeral Home and suggest memorials be made to American Cancer Society, c/o Kathy Worrell, 717 Fairview Drive, Franklin, Va. 23851 or High Street United Methodist Church, P.
