Charles David
Felts
May 31, 1957 — Dec 14, 2025
Branchville
Branchville – Charles David "Chip" Felts, 68, was called home to be with the Lord on December 14, 2025 in his home with his family by his side. He was the son of the late Joseph Wilson Felts and Daphyne Parker Felts and was also predeceased by an infant son, David Lon Felts.
Chip began farming after graduating from Southampton High School and loved working with the land until his retirement. Active in his community, he was member of Boykins Baptist Church, Shiloh Hunt Club, and the Wednesday Night Meet and Eat Group at the No. 8 School House. Better known as "Pappy" by his grandchildren or "Heavy Duty" by his hunting buddies, Chip did his best to bring humor and happiness to any situation. Beyond his love for Jesus and his family, hunting was always his greatest passion. He found God with the gobble of a wild turkey at sunrise or the echo of walker hounds running deer through a cypress swamp.
Left to cherish his memory is his wife and best friend of 44 years, Linda Parker Felts; daughter, Sara Felts Karker (Trevor); son, Reed Joseph Felts (Kendalyn); two brothers, J. Wilson Felts (Ruth Anne) and Larry Parker Felts (Debbie); a sister-in-law, Connie Storey (Ronnie); four grandchildren, Sadie Karker, Emory Karker, Elsie Karker, and Shepard Felts; and many nieces and nephews that he loved and adored.
A Celebration of Life will be held at 11AM Friday, December 19, 2025 in Boykins Baptist Church with Rev. Steve Gibson officiating. Burial will immediately follow in Beechwood Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the Felts' residence and suggests that memorial donations be made to Boykins Baptist Church.
