Franklin - Charles Leonard Cox, 76, passed away June 4, 2013. Born in Conway, NC, he was a son of the late Jimmy Russell and Alice Jones Cox and retired from CSX Railroad. Mr. Cox was an Air Force veteran and was predeceased by his wife, Phyllis Jean "PJ" Cox; a sister, Sadie C. Briscoe; and a brother, Jimmy Russell Cox, Jr.
Left to cherish his memory are his daughters, Donna Marie Smith of Richmond and Christie Lynn Cox of Pendleton, NC; a son, Robert Stephen Cox of Conway, NC; four sisters, Elmira C. Huskey of Chesapeake, Coretta C. Martin of Virginia Beach, Bobette C. Ford of Phoenix, AZ and Gloria C. Williams of Richmond; a grandchild, Ciera Lynn Cox; and special friend, Miriam Taylor of Franklin.
